Maintenance
Change the needles after three to five hours of serging, leave the needle threaded when removing it from the overlocker, this will stop it falling into the works of the overlocker
Regular care and basic maintenace will keep your overlocker running well.
Clean the lint and trimmings from your machine after every project.
Turn off the power to the machine before you do a thorough clean, then remove the throat plate, disengage the blades and remove the presser foot, use a sfoft brush to remove the build up of lint and bits of cut off fabric, blow the dust from hard-to-reach areas of the overlocker using canned air use sewing machine oil to oil the moving parts of your overlocker and maybe refere to the instruction book for this.
Always run the overlocker on absorbant waist cotton after oiling to be sure not to get oil on your best fabric.
