At JB Sewing, we regularly receive calls from DTF printer owners across the UK who have experienced serious ink printhead blockages after switching to alternative ink suppliers. In some cases, customers report that the blockages have been so severe that their white ink printheads have had to be replaced. DTF ink contains a high concentration of pigment particles, making pigment quality, filtration and dispersion stability particularly important. Poorly dispersed pigments, excessive sediment or particle clumping can obstruct the extremely fine nozzles inside a printhead, potentially causing blockages that cannot be recovered through normal cleaning procedures. Don't Assume a Big Brand Means Better Ink! Some customers report these problems even after purchasing inks from established UK suppliers. A recognised supplier name or cheaper selling price is no guarantee of ink quality.
